Huge sweeps of sand and salt marsh south of the Humber estuary have become nature reserves, while the dunes and shallow waters attract holidaymaker's to the resorts of Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe. Inland, flat pastures give way to the gentle hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds.
